Welshman Rhys Batcup is to captain promoted Hartley Wintney in Southern Premier League Division 1 cricket this summer.
The 25-year old right-arm seam all-rounder is in his third season with Hartley, having joined the North Hampshire club thee years ago after 13 seasons with Swansea in the South Wales Premier League.
He takes over from Danny Plume, who steered HW to runners-up in SPL2 last season, the title race going to the wire, with OTs & Romsey snatching a one-run win at Hartley on a drama fuelled final day.
