PROMOTION/RELEGATION POINTS AT STAKE IN DERBY

7/7/2017

Long standing rivalries will be renewed when Trojans and promotion challengers Old Tauntonians & Romsey face up in a key British Gas Southern League Division 2 match at Stoneham lane.
Trojans eased their concerns at the bottom of the table by beating Langley Manor last week – the gap between themselves and South Wilts II widening in the process.
OTs, who have played Trojans since long before the days of league cricket, are pushing strongly to reclaim the SPL1 slot they lost with relegation at the end of last season.
OTs & Romsey: R Newman, P Newman, Mitchel-Lee, Destephano, King, Vaughn, Welch, Brown, Trodd, Mogg, Bampton.
Leaders Totton & Eling, who enjoy a 20-point lead at the top, look to complete the double over promoted neighbours Hartley Wintney.  St Cross Symondians II, beaten by South Wilts last week, visit Paultons.
St Cross II: Mitchell, Hawkins, Laney, Young, Orchard, A Ayers, Neave, Rathod, Trussler, Perry-Lewis, J Aldridge.
Completing the double over Hambledon, the bottom side, at Bemerton will be crucial for South Wilts II, who are strengthened by Joe Cranch in the middle-order. George Marshall is absent for Hambledon.
South Wilts II: Phillips, Smith, Berzins, Cranch, R Pittman, Pearce, S Pittman, Kidd, Marc Burton, Matt Burton, Ghauri.
