Hampshire have named an unchanged and youthful Academy side for the rain threatened second round of Southern Premier League Cup (Premier/Division East) match against Portsmouth at St Helen’s, Southsea, 12.30.
They handed out a nine-wicket thrashing to Alton in their opening game, teenage pair Harry Broderick and Dom Kelly sharing six three wickets as the Brewers were dismissed for 174.
Wimborne -based Tom Prest led the victory charge with an unbeaten 86.
Portsmouth ran Burridge close, eventually losing by two wickets off the penultimate ball, with Ben Duggan and Will Smitherman catching the eye with the bat, each scoring 40 in the Southsea side’s 190-8.
Left-arm spinner Andy Marston, who missed the narrow Burridge defeat, gets the call up.
But tomorrow’s weather forecast does not look terribly promising, with light rain threatening to move into the region before lunch.

Hampshire included Kevin Pietersen (who got a first innings duck) and Shane Warne.
