RICKY INSPIRES SARISBURY ... PITCH PROBLEMS AT SEASIDE

Ricky Rawlins inspired Sarisbury Athletic to a 101-run win at Rowledge, which has rooted the Surrey border club to the bottom of British Gas Southern League Division 1.
He made 79 and later took 4-16 as Sarisbury comfortably defended 231-5.
Josh Hill (36), Chris Bolton (31) and Chris Sanders (27 not out) supported Rawlins, who hit ten boundaries in his innings.
Shayne Freemantle (3-47) accounted for the top three Rowledge batsmen in a fine new-ball spell before Rawlins began to works his way into the hosts middle order.  Rowledge, beaten in all four games now, were 101 all out.
Portsmouth silenced Ventnor’s South African run gun Schaughan van Greunen - but lost seven wickets before overhauling a 103-run target on an increasingly problematic surface at St Helen’s, Southsea.
Ventnor went into freefall after Ben Woodhouse (27) and Herridge (23) had put on 46.
Spin pair Vic Dawson (4-24), who caught and bowled the South African for a duck, and Andy Marston (2-18) combined the send all ten wickets crashing for 57 runs.
Rob Snell’s 4-35 return had Portsmouth on the ropes, but the Southsea side got home after being 87-7.
