Sarisbury Athletic opener Ricky Rawlins hit a century, but was unable to prevent Hook & Newnham Basics from making it three British Gas Southern League Division 1 wins on the trot.
Hook ran out 83-run winners after four batsmen hit half-centuries in an impressive 299-8 total at the KGV.
Skipper Ben Thane (68) and Matt Love (21) set the foundation with 60 for the first wicket and then by the time Thane departed his side had reached 101.
Teenager Jack Robson (23) and Jordan Hobday (52) added 44 for the third wicket, but both were out in the space of four runs to leave Hook 169-4 (Jordan Wright 2-48).
Hook continued to pile on the runs, as Matt Buckingham (58) and Nick Willcock (67) shared a fifth wicket stand worth 122 to take the score to 291.
In a remarkable end to the innings, Sarisbury captain Matt Journeaux took four wickets in one over in his 5-52 as the Hook side tried to reach 300, but fell just one run short.
The Sarisbury reply got off to a poor start as Hobday (2-31) sent back both Sam Floyd and Journeaux.
Opener Ricky Rawlins, pictured by the Daily Echo in his embryo BAT days, was the star of the innings, as he scored 119 and at 168-4, the visitors had a faint chance of victory.
But spin twins Kevin Poulter (3-28) and Anik Divecha (3-33) got to work and after Divecha ended Rawlins’ innings Sarisbury soon slipped to 216 all out.
Liphook & Ripsley reduced visitors Tichborne Park to 6-3 in only the fourth over to take control of their match at Ripsley Park and went on to win it by five wickets.
The damage was done by opener Ryan Covey who dismissed two of the top three, courtesy of his bowling partner Suman Ganguly, who held two fine slip catches and had a catch behind for himself.
Indeed, Ryan's brother, keeper Richard, went on to bag four catches as Tichborne slumped to 109 all out.
Only Prad Gunaratne (39), from the WACA Grade club Willeton, caught the eye until caught by Richard Covey off Harry Munt.
After Mike Court (2-26) removed openers Ryan Covey and Rob Nicklin cheaply, Liphook made heavy work of their reply, thanks largely to the impressive spin of Gunaratne 3-39 and some injudicious shot selection.
With their East Hampshire opponents on 65-5, Tichborne's spirits had definitely revived. It was left to a partnership of 39 between the exemplary patient teen Gabe Broadhurst and Harry Munt 28 to steer Liphook home at 110-6.
