In and out of the thunder showers, it's been a day of upsets across the board in the British Gas Southern Premier League, where -
  • South Wilts lost by five wickets to Bashley (Rydal) and were bundled off top spot;
  • Second placed Lymington won by seven wickets at St Cross Symondians, as did Havant in a rain truncated affair at Andover;
  • Basingstoke lost their joint lead of SPL1 when Rowledge completed the double over them at May's Bounty;
  • Calmore Sports struggled to chase down Tichborne Park's 155;
  • Bournemouth were washed out for the third week in a row at Liphook & Ripsley;
  • the top three sides in SPL2 all lost;
  • Tom Cowley hit a century as South Wilts II chased down 252-9 to win at Totton & Eling, OTs & Romsey lost to Sparsholt, and St Cross Symondians II went down in a 40-over game at Langley Manor;
  • Trojans dropped back into the relegation mire and Hambledon are all but mathematically relegated;
  • Chris Vaughan hit a century for Bashley (Rydal) II against Fawley, and Fair Oak raised their survival hopes with a nine-wicket trouncing of Gosport Borough.
