Rowledge are continuing to back their youth policy to the hilt and plan to send eight Under-21 year old’s into the fray against Southern Premier League Cup East group leaders St Cross Symondians at the Green Jackets.
Three of the youngsters – Ollie Baker, Will Ryman and Jonty Sebborn – head off to university next week, while several others, including recent five-wicket pair Ryan Littlewood and Ethan Martin have just begun their GCSE year 11 studies.
“Six of those lads got us to the Surrey U19 t20 finals – a fantastic achievement – so it promises to be another learning curve day against St Cross,” smiled Rowledge skipper Ben Wish.
St Cross Symondians will certainly be up for it as a win will guarantee them top spot in the East division and a place in next Saturday’s Grand Final.
