Liphook & Ripley completed their Southern League Division I programme with an emphatic 52 run victory which leaves them mid table but confirmed relegation for neighbours Rowledge at Church Road.
Rowledge started well enough, pinning back Liphook to 41-4, thanks to a fine spell of seam movement by Joe Randall (4-49), who ended the summer with 23 scalps.
However, the game was then turned on its head by a fifth-wicket partnership of 141 between Harry Munt (48) and a personal best by 19 year old George Neave, whose free scoring 124 included 13 fours and 3 sixes at a run a ball.
Liphook's total of 242-9 was always too much, once skipper Chaz Janczur 2-29, Suman Ganguly 2-34 and Ryan Covey 1-19 had Rowledge reeling at 60-5. In spite of an accomplished 72 from David Lloyd (10 fours) and a patient 35 from Max Martin, the home side was eventually limited to 190, with the evergreen left arm spin of Dave Ellliott claiming a late 3-41. Graham Symons.
