ROWLEDGE GROUND PROJECT NEARS COMPLETION

23/1/2016

Rowledge’s Recreation Ground ‘Project Gold’ is now near completion with only the Spring work to be completed.   Over the past few months, the remaining five wickets have been re-laid and  around 60 per cent of the outfield has had drainage installed and been levelled.  It is already noticeable that the new drainage is working with little surface water lying on the surface after heavy rains. This project has only been made possible by the generous grant of £37,100 by Sport England, supported by significant grants and donations from Waverley Borough Council, Farnham Town Council, local councillors and Members of Rowledge CC and by club funds.
