Ryan Stevenson Ryan Stevenson will make his Southern League debut as the Hampshire Academy freshen up their pace bowling attack for tomorrow’s Premier League Cup group match against Rowledge at Church Road, 12.30.
With no second team games this season, the Devonian right-arm seamer hasn’t played any cricket since last summer when he helped Hampshire win the Second XI Championship title and reach the county t20 final at Arundel. He was named Hampshire’s Clubman of the Year in 2019.
With county age group matches in full swing and Hampshire having a two-day Under-18 fixture with Surrey YCs at Andover on Sunday/Monday, the Academy have tweaked their pace bowling options, with Millfield’s Josh Croom also brought in.
All-rounder Harry Broderick hit 189 in an U18 match against Dorset in midweek.
The Academy won their opening league cup match by nine wickets at Alton, but like everyone else, were washed out last Saturday. Rowledge beat Sparsholt before being rained out at Burridge.
