Teenage Rowledge batsman Ollie Ryman was named this website's Southern Premier League Round 5 'Cricketer of the Week' award winner after scoring an innings defining 97 not out which set up a 39-run win over Division 1 rivals Calmore Sports on June 1.
Rowledge were in the mire at 57-5 when Ryman arrived at the Loperwood Park crease to clear the boundary rope six times on his way to (at the time) a career-best score. Rowledge went on to post 182-9 and dismiss Calmore for 143.
Seeing it like a proverbial beach ball, the 18-year Loughborough University biology student cracked 133 against Totton & Eling his past weekend. Full report later.
