Sarisbury Athletic will be just one step away from a place in a Lord’s final if they can beat Somerset side North Perrott in the National Village Cup quarter-final at Allotment Road on Sunday, 1pm.
Victories over Burbage & Easton Royal and Cumnor following their successes in the Hampshire group have put Sarisbury within touching distance of a semi-final spot.
They expect to field the side which won by three wickets at Cumnor in the last round.
North Perrott lost in the quarters to Liphook & Ripsley last season. They currently lie mid-table in the WEPL Gloucestershire/Somerset League, the same tier as Sarisbury in the SPL.
Additional car parking is being laid on in the adjoining school in Allotment Road, where chief steward Keith Hammond will be IC operations. Full bar and refreshment facilities will be available at the match, but spectators are encouraged to bring their own fold up chairs as all boundary benches have been sold to season ticket holders.
Sarisbury Athletic: Ricky Rawlins, Sam Floyd, Josh Hill, Tom Mills, Dan Clouting, Matt Journeaux,
Jordan Wright, Tom Kitcher, Sam Hill, Phil Jewell, Chris Sanders.
