HARTLEY Wintney finished their Southern League Division Two campaign with their sixth straight win to end up finishing fourth in the table.
Their season ended with a five-wicket win at Waterlooville, who were dismissed for 93, with James Beckwith ripping his way through the top order with an impressive 5-10 return in seven overs.
Visiting Hartley won the toss and elected to bowl and James Beckwith ripped out the top order on his way to a very impressive 5-10 in seven overs.
Fellow opening bowler Anthony Parson also took a wicket as none of the Ville top five made it into double figures.
Some late resistance by Ash Silva (29) helped the home side nearly reach three figures, as Jamie Teale, Roy Cockram take wickets and Angus Brown grabbed two which saw them bowled out after 35.5 overs. Silva (3-9) did his best to keep his side in the game, but Hugo Hammond hit 23 and then an unbroken stand between Will Ross (18) and Matt Digweed (15) made sure Hartley's season ended with a super sixth victory.
Charles Janczur (3-18) and Suman Ganguly (2-3) reduced Paultons to 13-5 at Ripsley Park, where Scott Dawes (25) spared the visitors total embarrassment before spinner Oscar Amis (3-5) completed a 76 all out demolition. Liphook & Ripsley polished off the target inside 15 overs.
