South East Hants Sixers earned their stripes with a double success against Bournemouth and Winchester Warriors in the NatWest Under-16 Indoor Cricket Championships at the Ageas Bowl.
Fareham & Crofton left-hand spin all-rounder Morgan Frost shone, retiring and taking two wickets in each game.
Bournemouth, in contrast, lost both their matches and paid the penalty for two wayward bowling performances. Sparsholt’s Nick Doubell hit a gallant half-century in Winchester Warriors’ four-wicket defeat by South East Hants.
