Alton plan to have South African Thando Ntini, the 20-year old son of Proteas legend Makhaya Ntini, opening the bowling for them in the ECB Southern Premier League next summer.
Ntini has played at both provincial and franchise level for Western Province and the Cape Cobras since representing South Africa in the 2018 ICC Under-19 World Cup and has been picked by the Centurion-based Multiply Titans for the upcoming season.
In 26 domestic matches to date, Ntini has taken 43 wickets, to include best bowling figures of 4-36 on his Momentum One Day Cup debut for the Cobras against the Warriors in February 2020
He had a brief spell with Kent Premier League club Canterbury in 2019, but played only four times.
Subject to COVID, Ntini will arrive at Alton next April.
