South Wilts have announced the appointment of Andy Stagg as their new chairman, with effect from November 1.
A product of Bishops Wordsworth School, Andy is a regular face among fellow vice-presidents at Lower Bemerton on match days, having captained the Salisbury club’s second team from 1992 to 1995.
He played much of his early local cricket with Farley before joining South Wilts in 1988, and then moving to work in North London and playing at weekends in Hertfordshire.
Mr Stagg’s appointment as chairman coincides with his pending retirement from a senior managerial position within Salisbury District Hospital.
