South Wilts captain Tom Morton looks all set to land a second consecutive Southern Electric Premier Division batting and wicket-keeping double.
With four matches remaining, Morton (pictured left) is on the brink of overhauling last season’s 813-run tally and within two victims of setting a new wicket-keeping Premier Division haul.
Last week’s 164 against Havant took his run aggregate to 797, leaving the South Wilts skipper with a realistic chance of topping the 1,000-run mark.
His 34 victims behind the stumps is just one behind the record of 35 set by Dave Banks, who may well have had his tally overtaken this afternoon.
