Half-centuries by Rob Pittman and Tom Pearce lifted South Wilts seconds from an uncertain 72-4 to a match winning 204-6 against Southern Premier League Cup rivals Fawley at Holbury.
They went on to bowl Fawley out for 173 – the 31-run win cementing South Wilts II in third place in East 2/3 behind unbeaten pair Bashley (Rydal) II and Fair Oak.
When Edward Wade (27) was trapped leg before wicket at 72-4, the South Wilts innings reached a potential crossroads on Waterside, but Pittman (61) and Pearce (55) shared a century fifth wicket stand to ease the visitors into the driving seat.
Fawley made a disastrous start, losing the in-form Kieran Earl and Will Crossley for ducks, but Sufian Munir smashed four sixes in a quick-fire 40 to redress the balance.
Tom Edwards (49) and Bailey Parratt (24) took Fawley on to 136-5, but three run outs – two credited to Tom Pearce – led to the oilmen slipping to 173 all out and a 31-run defeat.
