South Wilts second team pair Tom Pearce (left) and Joe Cranch (right) have written themselves into the Southern Premier League record books by compiling a triple-century stand against relegated Division 2 visitors Langley Manor at Bemerton.
They shared an unbroken third-wicket stand of 319 - Pearce hitting 109 (16 fours) and Cranch an unbeaten 185 (two sixes and 26 fours) - as South Wilts piled up 327-2 before dismissing Langley Manor (chasing a rain reduced 301 off 46 overs) for 142 (Steve Harris 56). Matt Burton took 5-50. Before the stand, openers Sam Arnold and Steve Riddle had gone for ducks !
It is the second highest partnership in SPL history - only surpassed by Burridge openers Alex Styles and Derek Kenway against Paultons in 2012 - and only the fourth time a 300-run stand has been posted.
