South Wilts are to host Gloucestershire's county cricketers in a warm-up match for the 2020 Royal London Cup next July.
The match at Bemerton on Friday July 17 2020 (1100) will feature Wiltshire's Minor Counties side against Gloucestershire, newly promoted to Division 1 of the County Championship next summer.
Gloucestershire's side will probably include former Bashley (Rydal) all-rounder Ryan Higgins, Benny Howell and left-armer David Payne, who cut his teeth locally with Parley and Bournemouth.
It will be the first time South Wilts has hosted a First Class county side since May 2005 when Wiltshire gave Kent a massive C & G Trophy fright before losing by only nine runs (160 v 151) at Wilton Road.
