Hampshire's Academy side powered into the Southern Electric t20 Cup semi-finals - and a tasty meet-up with holders South Wilts - with a comfortable 40-run win over Sarisbury Athletic on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground.
Skipper Josh McCoy, pictured by Neil Marshall, and Brad Taylor led the way - their 103-run opening stand coming at a rate of 11 runs an over.
McCoy played some lusty shots, lofting five sixes and four boundaries in his 65, while Taylor breached the boundary rope nine times in his clean cut 45.
Under fire Sarisbury did manage to take five wickets, but by the time Ben Caldera (25) and Felix Organ (22 not out) inflicted further punishment the Academy were out of sight at 191-5.
Sarisbury needed a top four batsmen to make a big contribution, but it didn't happen : instead they were out of the contest at 47-4.
Ryan Covey (36) and Jack Lovett (24 not out) lifted their final score from 84-7 to 151, but it was too little too late.
