Tom Alsop returns from England Under-19 duty to play for the Hampshire Academy in Sunday’s Southern Electric twenty20 Cup semi-final tie against holders South Wilts on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground, 2pm.
Alsop made scores of 66 and 39 in the drawn Youth ‘Test’ against Australia Under-19s at Chester-le-Street and drove back to the South Coast today.
The Academy are making their first appearance in an SE t20 Cup semi-final, while South Wilts chase a hat-trick of short-form titles, having won the competition in 2013 and 2014 under the gaze of the Ageas Bowl floodlights.
