The Southern Premier League will shortly be issuing the divisional formats and fixtures for its end-season League Cup, which will commence on Saturday week, July 18 and finish on September 12.
It is expect their will be east and west divisions for each of the combined Premier/SPL1 and SPL2 and SPL3, with matches of 40-over duration starting at 12.30pm.
Under freshly announced ECB adapted play regulations, there will be ‘hygiene breaks’ every 20 minutes/six overs for ball cleaning, with groundsmen being required to paint ‘running lines’ for batsmen 2m each side of the playing area. If it rains, players are being encouraged to return to their cars.
Players have to arrive at the ground ready changed. Home clubs are required to provide hand sanitisation gel, but umpires are not required to wear PPE, including face masks.
