St Cross Symondians all-rounder Michael Booth has signed for Warwickshire on a rookie contract and may make his debut for the Bears in Friday's MetroBank One-Day Cup opener against Somerset in Taunton.
A product of Dale Benkenstein's time at Hilton College, Booth, 20, is a strong middle-order batsman and right-arm bowling all-rounder who has featured heavily for the Bears Second XI this year after a successful trial in 2021.
Born in Zimbabwe, Booth has made 20 appearances for St Cross in the past two seasons, hitting a half-century against Totton & Eling and taking five-wicket against Bashley (Rydal).
He recently graduated from Durham University with First Class honors in Economics with Management.
