St Cross Symondians and Alton will trial white ball cricket in a pre-season 50-over British Gas Southern League match at the Green Jackets Ground, Winchester, on Saturday, 1pm.
The SPL is switching to white ball cricket, using power plays, coloured kit and black sightscreens, this season, so the two Premier Division clubs are getting an early taste of what to expect on May 6.
