No play today ! This is the amazing Easter Monday scene at St Helen's on Southsea seafront after Portsmouth's ground was hit by the overnight Storm Katie. Winds of over 100mph swept along the south coast, bringing with it torrential rain which swamped countless sports grounds and put pre-season ground preparation back behind schedule. After a prolonged wet spell, clubs were hoping the Spring-like weather would dry pitches and outfields in time for the start of the pre-season friendlies .. but not now !
