One-time Hampshire off-spinner Richard Dibden has assumed the Totton & Eling captaincy for a third time and leads the Eels in Sunday’s ECB Royal London national club championship first round tie against Potterne at Southern Gardens, 1pm.
He leads a much changed side against a go-ahead West of England Premier League outfit, with the winners visiting South Wilts in round two.
Totton & Eling: Dibden, Arnold, Perussi, Perrin, Mellett, J Metcalfe, Blakey, Beresford, Beresford-Power, Darney, Jenkin
Relegated last season, Fawley have opener Tom Gates at the helm for the first round tie with Lymington at Holbury, while Bashley (Rydal) host Burridge in an all Premier Division joust at the BCG.
Portsmouth entertain Sussex Premier League newcomers Middleton at St Helen’s, Southsea, while Zac Miller, late of Totton & Eling, makes his competitive debut for Bath against Clevedon an Northern Parade. New Milton set sail for the Isle of Wight and a meeting with Ventnor in the Steephill bowl, but Nick Park will not be on the boat. New Milton: Ryan Beck, Lee Beck, Mark House, James Haggaty James Park ,Nick Elliott , Toby Edwards, Lynton Staniford, Dan Loader, George Watts, Nick Gargaro.
