Tom Morton's enjoyed a fair bit of the limelight in recent seasons (and rightly so) for his exploits with all conquering South Wilts in Southern Electric Premier League cricket, but on Tuesday he hopes he can take a back seat so his father, Terry - in his day a prolific run scorer with Waterlooville - can enjoy some glory on his Hampshire Seniors debut in the national Over-60s championship against Sussex at Middleton-on-Sea.
Morton senior is expected to open the batting alongside Mike Swain, with skipper Geoff Beale listed to come in at four.
The Hampshire side is: Mike Swain, Terry Morton, Martin Hall, Geoff Beale, Jon Floyd, Paul Kerley, Chris Wood, Andrew Yorke, John Paine, Jim Smallbone, Jan Bridle.
