Ben Draper has fired a pre-Southern Premier League T20 Plate final warning to his South Wilts team-mates in the countdown to Sunday's showdown against Waterlooville at the Ageas Bowl, 3pm.
As he packed his golf clubs in readiness for a well earned break in Turkey, Draper has told South Wilts not to under-estimate the Ville at any cost.
"They may be a third tier side in the SPL pyramid, but they will give it everything against us, by throwing themselves about in the field and busting a gut with every ball they bowl," he said.
"South Wilts are obviously favourities, but we'll have to earn that right on the field. We can't afford to take our eye off the ball."
Apart from Draper and his golfing partner, the newly wed Rob Pittman, South Wilts parade a full srength side as they seek to put their only trophy of 2022 in the Bemerton cabinet.
Left-arm quick Josh Croom plays his last game before flying to Australia for a third winter with Geelong in the South Australia Grade competition.
Ville's Kiwi Josh McGregor has delayed his return flight to New Zealand to play.
South Wilts: Morton, Stearman, Rowe, Godsal, Cranch, Mynott, Falconer, Grant, Croom, Lewis, Burton.
Waterlooville: Birch, Hillman, Hudson, T Jackson, C Jackson, Knight, McCoy, McGregor, Reynolds, Robinson, Shephard.
Admission to Sunday's final is free, with plenty of car parking available.
