Tom Berzins and Will Berrill produced a club record 176-run opening stand as Sparsholt swept to a ten-wicket win over Southern Premier Division 2 rivals Langley Manor at the Norman Edwards Ground.
The pair breached the boundary rope 29 times between them, Berzins hitting 16 fours in his unbeaten 86 and the in-form Berrill 13 in his 77 not out.
They polished off Langley Manor’s 173 with 15 of their 50 overs to spare, Berrill’s 77 making the teenager the leading Division 2 run scorer after five completed rounds of matches.

With their openers Bud and Browne way on a stag weekend, Langley Manor found themselves in deep trouble from the off and were 14-3 before Steve Harris (47) and James Purnell (34) came together.
Among the early fallers were Hampshire's Jack Campbell and little Tommy Spencer, promoted to opener, who fell to Ley. But with Tom Ley, Tom Procter and Joel Eastwood all taking three wickets, the Manor gradually slithered to 173 all out.
