Bournemouth leapfrogged Bashley (Rydal) to take over the Southern Premier League Cup West group leadership after beating Andover by eight wickets at London Road.
While the Lions toasted a third successive win, overnight Premier/1 group leaders Bashley watched rain fall and their derby with Lymington be washed out.
Tom Robinson, with best yet SPL figures of 4-31, and left-armer Matt Mixer (2-18) set up the Bournemouth victory by reducing Andover to 43-4 (Ali Hooper 22).
Nathan Birks (25) and Matt Hooper (27) rallied, but with left-arm spinner Robbie Pack (3-22) bowling in tandem with Robinson Andover continued to lose wickets, Adam Davies adding two catches to the earlier smart stumping of Alex Ayers off Mixer. They were 118 all out.
Bournemouth had been tidy and efficient in the field and, with rain threatening, they wasted little time in chasing down the modest target.
Openers Nick Park (44) and Sam Collins put on 86 before Matt Hooper (2-18), Andover’s seventh bowling option, achieved a double breakthrough.
The left-handed Collins, who had bagged ducks in his two previous SLC innings, went on to make 46 as Bournemouth cruised home in the 24th over.
