Now that social distancing measures have been relaxed (but not gone away), the Newclose cricket pavilion on the Isle of Wight will be opening its bar from 12:00noon to 6:00pm on Saturday 4th July 2020.
In addition, food and refreshments will be available so, with your support, the Trustees are hoping this will be ‘a social get-together’ to kick-start the season.
“Whilst we know there will be other venues wanting your patronage this day, please pop in for as long as you can to say ‘hi’ to those who have been staying at home and protecting the NHS,” said Hugh Griffiths.
“Let’s take a gentle step together towards ‘normal life’ now that we can.
“Be assured that there will be strict social distancing measures in place – but we can still enjoy ‘a pie and a pint’ (and a variety of other fare will be available). Very much hoping to see you there – and come along with your friends (it is not a ‘members-only’ event).
