Longparish will face Tichborne Park in next Thursday’s (July 28) Winchester & District CA Tichborne Trophy final at St Cross Symondians’ Green Jackets Ground.
Parish tipped out Fair Oak in the semi-finals, while Tichborne overcame a batting collapse to nick a three-wicket win over near neighbours Sparsholt.
Alex Coetzee (38) and Will de Cani (28) led the way as Longparish posted 128-9 against Fair Oak.
Rhys Oxley (4-17) and Adi Mandrekar (3-20) took the bowling credits for Oaks, who fell short in the batting department with only Mitch le Tissier (26) making his mark.
They made 111-9, with Matt Jackman taking 3-11.
When Tichborne bowled Sparsholt out for 74 and moved to 54-1 in reply, an easy win appeared a formality for the Alresford side.
But Tichborne contrived to lose six cheap wickets before scrambling into the final on July 28.
The Igglesden Trophy final (for first round losers) will be between Compton & Chandler’s Ford and Easton & Martyr Worthy, again at the Green Jackets Ground next Thursday.
CCF defended 133-9 by pegging Wickham to 105-7.
Easton & Martyr Worthy tied with Rotherfield Park, each side scoring 122, but Easton lost fewer wickets to clinch victory.
