Chasing down Hursley Park’s 120-8 (Tom Flynn 38*), Oaks looked comfortable winners while Max Watson (26) and Phil Smith were together at 74-2.
But Aaron Williams (3-15) sparked a middle-order collapse, leaving Rufus Bullough (18 not out) to end Oaks’ worries.
Alton’s Dan Harris hit an unbeaten 50 and Joe Paul 48 as Rotherfield piled up 197-2 on the rustic and compact East Tisted village ground.
Tichborne fell 66 runs shot with 131-9 (Ed Primmer 36), Tom Paul taking 3-18.
