Queenslander Justin Reid led Tichborne Park to a 41-run victory over Longparish in the Winchester & District CA Tichborne Trophy, hitting an unbeaten 56 and later taking two wickets.
Reid, who will captain the SPL2 promotion chasers for the rest of the season, top scored in Tichborne’s 141-9 (Scott Sturt 4-36).
Billy Mead (31) and Will de Cani (23) responded for Longparish, but with Tichborne putting six fielders around the boundary from the start, the Test Valley side had little chance of chasing down the target and closed at 103-6, Ed Berry 3-27.
Compton & Chandler’s Ford beat Easton & Martyr Worthy in the Iggdeslen plate final.
