Hampshire teenager Tom Prest starred with bat and ball as England's youngsters clinched a place in the ICC Under-19 CWC 'Super Eights' in Antigua with an emphatic 116-run win over Canada at Warner Park, St Kitts.
Prest's innings was packed with innovative shots like the paddle and sweeps off seam bowlers. He crunched ten fours and looked all set for a century but was stopped by Canada leg-spinner Kairav Sharma, who got him lbw in the 37th over. He hit a run-a-ball 93 as England piled up 320-7 and later took 3-38 with his off-breaks as Canada made 204 all out in reply.
England previously crushed 2019 winners Bangladesh and top the group with two big wins. Their next match is against the UAE.
