Bramshaw’s Tom Arnold [pictured] and Parley opener Tom Saunders hit centuries to point their respective sides to victory in the opening Venous National Village Cup round.
Arnold took full advantage of Bramshaw’s small boundary and smashed the Locks Heath attack for 154, while Saunders stung Beehive & Southwick with an unbeaten 101 which sent Parley to a nine-wicket win.
Bramshaw kept umpire Paul Sparshott’s arms busy by piling up 315-8 before Mike Kingston got to work with the ball. His 5-19 return sent Locks Heath tumbling to 154 all out.

Grierson (84) and Jacob Lee (23) started the chase with a century opening partnership but once Lee was stumped off the bowling of Welsman (3-32) the tempo increased and the target was reached with 10 overs remaining. Promising 16 year old Ben Rogers continued his good early season form with a run a ball 40 not out.
