Hampshire prospect Fletcha Middleton has swapped relegated Alton for promoted Totton & Eling for his ECB Southern Premier Division cricket this summer.
The 20-year old son of former Hampshire opener and now batting coach Tony Middleton, Fletcha has begun the second season of his Ageas Bowl contract, having spent all his formative years at Fair Oak and played in virtually every junior age group in the county pathway system, frequently captaining sides.
Handicapped by a broken finger early in 2021, Middleton made his Hampshire debut in a 50-over Royal London Cup match in August. Picture by Howard Gadsby.
Teenage pace bowler Tom Varney, from Aldershot, who has been winter training with the Hampshire junior age group squads, has also joined Totton & Eling.
