South Wilts starlet Miles Kantolinna and Bashley (Rydal) prospect George Pardoe were the stars of Hampshire Under-15’s early season successes against Middlesex and Surrey.
Kantolinna hit 116 in the nine-wicket win over Middlesex (199), an unbeaten innings which contained 19 boundaries and featured a century opening stand with Alex Ayres (41 not out).
Pardoe starred with the bat and ball as Hampshire beat by 34 runs at Ashstead. He top scored with 76 in Hampshire’s 253-8 (Kantolinna 45, Cam Robertson 35) and later took 3-16 as Surrey were dismissed for 219.
Hampshire’s next U15 match is against Oxfordshire at Hook & Newnham Basics KGV Ground next Sunday (June 12), 11am.
