UNDER-16 INDOOR THRILLERS AT THE AGEAS BOWL

A tie between the EPP and the reformed New Forest District side and a last-ball thrilling win for newcomers Compton & Chandler's Ford over Parley climaxed an exciting second round of matches in the NatWest Under-16 Indoor Championships at the Ageas Bowl.
Totton & Eling prospect Ethan Taylor came within a whisker of piloting the New Forest to victory over the EPP, whose 132 all out owed much to a late knock from Portsmouth Grammar School's Joe Kooner-Evans (39). Taylor took 3-18 with his left arm spin but, having hit a heroic 47 with the bat, was caught behind off the penultimate ball of the match the scores level.
Basingstoke's win over Winchester Warriors produced over 300 runs, while CCF just defended 150-4 against Parley in a 296-run affair, which went to the last ball.
