Ventnor raised Adam Hose is currently making his County Championship debut for Somerset against Yorkshire at Taunton. He is due to bat next after Somerset were sent reeling at 18-3 (all three scalps to Ryan Sidebottom) after Yorkshire had been bowled out for 202.
Hose has been in good form this season, with an unbeaten List A century against Gloucestershire and 76 (Sussex) and 50 against Hampshire.
Regarding Adam’s call up, Director of Cricket Matt Maynard said: “Adam Hose has been knocking the door down for a chance in the Championship. I always make it clear that first team places have to be earned and he has gone about his business this season in a very professional manner.”
