Ventnor's ECB Royal London national club championship first round tie against Chichester Priory Park on Sunday April 28 has been switched to the island club's unique Steephill bowl.
It was due to have been played at Goodwood House, where Chichester have established base, but the picturesque West Sussex ground, situated within a six-hit of the famous race course, is unavailable.
The cup tie will launch a good weekend of cricket for island enthusiasts with Hampshire playing Middlesex in Second XI Championship and 50-over cup ties between the Monday and Thursday that week.
