As clubs across the region continue to battle the elements, spare a thought for veteran groundsman Gerry Candy (left), whose Burridge ground suffers more than most from the heavy rain. Burridge are due to open their ECB Southern Premier League campaign against the Hampshire Academy, but Saturday's match is on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground.
