
Bramshaw chased down a 192-run target to beat Tichborne Park by two wickets and cause the biggest local upset in the National Village Championship first round.
Tichborne recovered from an uncertain 47-3 to post 191-7, with Will Allam (67) and Martin Cheyney (40) providing the backbone of the innings. Joe Coombes (2-24) was the pick of the Bramshaw bowlers.
Andy Hart (38) and Jack Booth (21) gave Bramshaw a half-century start, which Coombes (48)[pictured] improved. Allam and Kieren Connell, both with 3-37 returns, hit back for TP, but two fours from Jonty Loveless got Bramshaw across the line.
Parley’s powerful batting won the day in the Dorset/Wiltshire showdown at Shrewton, who were dismissed for 185 after the Bournemouth visitors had piled up a daunting 280-5.
