Rowledge pulled off one of their best national Village Cup results in recent seasons when they chased down a Valley End total of 198-7 to win by six wickets and earn a place in the Surrey county semi-finals against Blackheath on Sunday.
Valley End, who were playing top drawer Surrey Championship cricket last season, were well set at 91-1 (Justin Gray 57), but Chris Yates (3-39) and Tim Wheatley (2-37) caused a wobble and left them 102-5. Led by George Williams-Sales (43) and Ollie Dunnett (33), Valley End advanced to 198-7.
Pinch hitting Jake Wish fell early, but a well constructed century stand between the emerging Max Martin (37) and the evergreen David Lloyd eased Rowledge to 101-1 at drinks. Lloyd went on to strike a vintage 82, while skipper Joe Randall whacked a quick 32 before two gigantic sixes by Joel Swan finished it off.
Surrey group semi-finals on May 27 are: Frensham v Oakwood Hill and Blackheath v Rowledge.
