Waterlooville hope to have 22-year old South African Chris Taylor [above] behind the stumps in the coming season's Southern Premier League Division 2 campaign - but they've lost the services of dependable middle-order all-rounder Max Goddard.
Taylor, a client of the Steve Hirst CricX agency, hails from the Pirates Club in Johannesburg and is rated an aggressive top order batsman in addition to being a handy gloveman in the Gauteng Premier League.
Goddard, meanwhile, has joined Portsmouth & Southsea, having scored close on 2,600 runs and taken 130 league wickets in his ten-years at the Ville.
Waterlooville begin their pre-season friendly programme with visits to Middleton (April 10), Sarisbury Athletic, Littlehampton (April 17/18) and finally Portsmouth & Southsea on April 24.
