VINCE STAYS AT HAMPSHIRE

Hampshire captain James Vince is staying at the Ageas Bowl. Unconfirmed reports (believed to have its unreliable root from a London-based county cricket broadcaster) suggested that the England batsman was joining the Division 2 championships leaders. But speaking after yesterday's abandoned match at The Oval, Vince confirmed he had had no approach from Essex, had not talked to them and was under contract to Hampshire for the next three years.
