The junior Brewers successfully defended a modest 72 to beat the Hook Army cadets by five runs to top the North group, while run rate proved the deciding factor in the West, where the two unbeaten sides Bashley (Rydal) and Sway & Lymington didn’t manage to play each other.
Sway & Lymington went through and will play Fair Oak at Paultons on Thursday, 5pm. Alton meet Portsmouth in the other semi-final at St Helen's Southsea this/Tueday evening.
