The on-going wet and windy weather is threatening tomorrow’s Southern Premier League cricket programme - for the third week in a row.
Only 22 of the 60 matches scheduled in the opening three rounds of fixtures were completed, with only four results possible on May 8 and just St Cross Symondians winning last weekend amid seven cancellations and 12 games being abandoned.
St Cross feature strongly in tomorrow’s heavyweight Premier Division match at Havant, where Simon Beetham continues to captain as Ed Ellis has coaching commitments in Oxford.
Durham University’s Michael Booth (top left) is set for a delayed debut, replacing Hampshire’s Felix Organ. Havant are without left-hand opener Ben Walker.
Havant: Warren Turner, Pete Hopson, George Metzger, Harry Gadd, Simon Loat, Chris Morgan, Jez Bulled, Richard Hindley, Fred Gadd, Alf Taw, Richard Jerry.
St Cross Symondians: T Foyle, Matt Haworth, Came, Taylor, H Foyle, Bransgrove, Brown, Booth, Beetham, Mike Haworth, Woolvine.
Defending champions Bashley (Rydal) are keeping mum on their team selection for the Kings of the Forest duel with Lymington, though there is speculation in the village that Harry Fisher and Alex Turner would return, possibly alongside Bradley Currie, who has been having hamstring problems.
Matt Metcalfe continues to be a significant absentee for Lymington.
Lymington: Crabb, Royan, Mortimore, Rogers, Scott, Du Plooy, Cox, Attrill, Proctor, Wade, Edwards.
Hook & Newnham Basics have Ben Thane and Kieran Thomson back for the Alton derby at the KGV, but the Brewers remain without Hampshire prospect Fletcha Middleton (broken finger) and left-hand opener Tom South, who has undergone an operation on a broken toe.
Hook & Newnham Basics: J Buckingham, Lockwood, Robson H, Thomson, M Buckingham, Love, Murrell, Watts, Divecha, Moore, Thane.
Alton: Harris, Gonella, Hale, Myers, Heffernan MP, Wright, Heffernan MJ, Salmon M, Salmon T, Walters, Ballinger.
Its as you were for South Wilts at the Hampshire Academy, while no team news has filtered out of either Bournemouth or Burridge, who are due to meet at Chapel Gate.
South Wilts: Morton, Stearman, Hussey, Hayward, Draper, Rowe, Godsal, Grant, Warner, Lewis, Burton.
