Hampshire Seniors suffered their National Over-Sixties Championship defeat when group leaders Wales beat them by 44 runs at Hursley Park.
Peter Docherty underpinned Wales’ 205-5 with an unbeaten 113, but once Hampshire lost a fourth wicket at 84 they were behind the required rate and the game effectively lost.
Geoff Beale (36), Keith Harsham (36) and Jon Floyd (28) top scored in Hampshire’s 161 all out.
